Let’s Identify the Company’s Background

Today, traders increasingly have to deal with scam brokers that illegally use the details of existing companies to disguise their operations. Such firms are easy to find in public registries, but exposing this kind of fabricated legend without careful fact-checking is far from simple. In practice, most traders do not even attempt to conduct such verification: for many of them, seeing official company details on a website is already enough. To help such users avoid becoming victims of fraudsters, we publish our analyses. Today, our attention is focused on Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD. The results of our investigation are likely to surprise you.

Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD Jurisdiction and Regulation

The creators of this project clearly made every effort to create the impression that the broker operates legally and conducts its business under regulatory supervision. To achieve this, the platform published an extensive set of company details, including:

  • A Singapore registration address.
  • The registration date and the date of the latest public financial report.
  • A Singapore business registry number.
  • An LEI number.

Apparently, the project’s operators believe that a trader who sees such an abundance of information is unlikely to perform any serious verification, since the company itself supposedly provides all the necessary details. We, however, follow one simple rule: anyone who does not want to lose money on scam platforms should never neglect fact-checking. That is why we turned to the Singapore business registry database.

Public registry information confirming the existence and registered business activity of Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD in Singapore.

Indeed, the Singapore Business Directory contains information about a company named EXPEDITION INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. The company has been registered in Singapore since May 3, 2023, and its current office address matches the one published on the broker’s website.

Unfortunately for the project’s creators, we analyze all publicly available information from the registry — including the declared business activities. For this company, the listed SSIC Code is 66309, which corresponds to Fund Management Activities. This category does not include the organization of trading in financial derivatives such as CFDs. In other words, operating as a Forex broker is not provided in the company’s charter or official documentation. More precise information can usually be found in regulator records — assuming, of course, that the legal entity is actually licensed.

Regulatory data from the Monetary Authority of Singapore showing the scope of the company’s licensed activities.

The registry of the local financial regulator, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), also contains information about a license issued to Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD. Its scope fully matches the SSIC Code: the company is authorized to engage in fund management activities. The regulator makes no mention whatsoever of brokerage or dealer services, Forex trading, or the organization of CFD trading. Accordingly, any activity in these areas would be illegal for the company.

This means we are dealing with a fake broker that illegally appropriated the registration and licensing details of a real Singapore company in order to disguise its own operations outside the legal framework. The platform itself is not officially registered or licensed by any regulator. All information presented on the website serves only one purpose — to mislead potential clients. The so-called Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD (not to be confused with the actual legal entity) is nothing more than a scam project created to collect and steal traders’ money.

This virtual company has no real capability to organize legitimate trading operations:

  • Market data providers — owners of electronic trading systems such as Reuters — only sign contracts with officially registered companies. As a result, the prices and trading volumes displayed in the fake broker’s terminal come from unknown third-party sources. Naturally, there can be no confidence in their accuracy or in the actual execution of orders.
  • Liquidity providers also refuse to work with virtual legal entities lacking official agreements. Furthermore, none of them would execute client orders based on prices originating from questionable sources.
  • Financial institutions such as banks and payment systems do not open corporate accounts for websites or virtual entities. This means the pseudo-broker cannot issue corporate cards, legally process payments, or securely store client funds. The only available options are operating through private individuals (“drops”) or anonymously via cryptocurrency wallets.
All of this means that everything traders see in the terminal is purely virtual: asset prices, account balances, profits and losses on open positions, and so on. Any money sent by clients goes directly into the scammers’ pockets, while the trading process itself is merely simulated. Do you think it is possible to expect withdrawals or payouts from such fraudsters? To us, the answer is absolutely obvious.

Expeditioninv.com History

We can say that the scam broker put considerable effort into constructing the legend behind the company. Unfortunately for them, they were unable to fabricate an equally convincing corporate history. According to the Singapore registry, the real Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD was registered back in 2023. There is nothing the scammers behind this freshly created project can do to change that. Evidence can easily be found in public sources, including Whois data.

Whois records revealing the registration date and technical details of the expeditioninv.com domain.

As we can see, the domain used by the fake broker’s website was registered only on January 6, 2026. Accordingly, at the time of writing our expeditioninv.com analysis, the project itself is only around five months old. This clearly does not align with the company registration date from 2023.

Moreover, the scammers themselves constantly demonstrate why none of the information published on the website should be trusted. For example, the homepage boasts about “2+ million clients” and “50 industry awards,” while the PRO Conditions page invites users to join a broker supposedly possessing “26+ years of experience” and over 100 million in capital. Perhaps such statements are intended to impress inexperienced traders.

For us, however, these claims are simply amusing. On one page, the content managers publish a registration date from 2023, while on another they speak about “26+ years in the industry.” Perhaps they simply struggle with arithmetic if, in their calculations, the difference between 2026 and 2023 somehow exceeds 26 years. The same logic applies to the claimed number of clients: gathering an audience of over 2 million during 26 years might theoretically be possible. But achieving this in just three years would require registering around 2,000 new accounts every single day. As for the broker’s actual lifespan of roughly five months, it is better not to mention it at all.

In short, both the company history and the published statistics only confirm one thing: any information presented on the Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD website should be treated as unreliable.

Another clear sign of the broker’s “young age” is the almost complete absence of reviews online. For example, only a single comment has appeared on Trustpilot during the platform’s entire existence — and it is sharply negative. Quite remarkable for a company supposedly operating for more than 26 years, wouldn’t you agree?

At the same time, the project’s administration clearly invested effort into building a positive public image. You can find several dozen informational websites publishing highly favorable articles about Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD. Naturally, the content of these publications has little to do with the project’s real activities. It is quite obvious that the authors and publishers were generously paid to mislead users.

Due Diligence: Onboarding & Funding

Official websites like the one operated by Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD are quite rare. No, this is not praise for its creators, but rather a way to emphasize how insignificant the content is despite the fairly attractive design. While the visual appearance raises almost no complaints, the informational value of the pages is close to zero.

However, we are not going to analyze every detail of this “masterpiece.” What interests us far more is the personal account area — and, as it turns out, there is plenty to discuss there as well.

Let us begin with the registration process. The broker made it extremely simple, requiring less than a minute to complete. Potential clients are asked to provide only minimal information: first and last name, country of residence, email address, and phone number. Fill out the form and submit it? Congratulations — you are now a registered user of Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD. From that moment, you gain access to virtually every function, from changing your password to depositing funds and placing trades in the terminal.

Yes, that is exactly how seriously the platform ignores KYC policy requirements. More precisely, nobody here ever intended to follow them in the first place — the company does not even provide a corresponding document in the Legal section. Nevertheless, verification will still be required once you submit your first withdrawal request. What exactly the company’s staff intends to verify remains unclear, especially considering that the only additional profile information requested is the city of residence.

Important! Traders from certain European countries, such as Germany, have encountered a particularly vexing issue: they are allowed to register freely and even deposit money into their accounts. However, when attempting to access the trading terminal, they receive a message stating that the broker does not serve clients from their country. Quite an unpleasant surprise, especially considering that the scammers have no intention of returning the deposited funds.

The financial operations impressed us the most. Unexpectedly, it turned out that the number of payment methods listed in the personal account area does not match the information shown on the Deposits & Withdrawals page of the website. Interestingly, there are actually more payment options inside the account than on the public page. It is difficult to understand how the content managers prepared this section without even knowing which methods are available to clients.

In addition, Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD follows a classic scammer scheme. We have already mentioned that the project cannot legally accept payments to company bank accounts, while openly displaying private individual details would effectively admit illegal activity. Therefore, the operators chose a simpler approach: instead of allowing direct deposits, the user merely submits a request for the operation. After that, platform representatives contact the client personally and explain which payment method should be used and where exactly the money should be sent. Frankly, we expected nothing else from a pseudo-company operating under someone else’s name.

Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD Conditions and Manipulations

The broker also made little effort to properly disclose its trading conditions. First, the website contains neither a complete list of available assets nor any contract specifications. Second, the account descriptions themselves include almost no actual trading parameters aside from the minimum deposit requirement.

Overview of the trading account categories, deposit requirements, and advertised features offered by expeditioninv.com platform.

Instead, the company generously filled the comparison table with various options that experienced traders do not need at all, but which are clearly designed to attract beginners. Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD offers five account types:

  • First Step — minimum deposit of €100. Even the list of included features is extremely poor: traders are promised a basic course and five days of meaningless lectures. However, this allows the fake broker to proudly advertise an “easy start” with a low entry threshold.
  • Basic — requires a deposit starting from €1,500. Traders are promised access to currency pairs and commodity market assets — apparently implying that the previous account offered nothing to trade at all. For this amount, support staff will supposedly even communicate with the client (because for 100 EUR, they apparently would not lift a finger). Clients also receive services that licensed brokers normally provide free of charge: daily analytics, expert consultations, and educational materials.
  • Optional — for only €16,500, users gain access to the stock market, increased leverage, and a 15% reduction in trading commissions. Unfortunately, we still have no idea what commission levels clients on lower-tier accounts are actually paying.
  • Premium — with a deposit starting from €65,000, clients supposedly receive access to hedge funds, indices, and ETFs. Naturally, it would be fascinating to see CFDs on hedge funds, but it seems users are once again being fed fairy tales. At least we know what they are supposedly paying for: personal support and account insurance — although who provides this insurance, for what amount, and under what conditions remains a complete mystery.
  • Exclusive (VIP Investor) — to earn such a grand title, a client must deposit at least €250,000. Apparently, personalized service is considered worth that amount.

Frankly, these offerings require no further commentary. Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD once again proves that it is a fraudulent project designed to extract money from clients in exchange for options and services that do not actually exist in the personal account area. In reality, the operators are not interested in what traders will think afterward — their only goal is to obtain the deposited funds.

Worth noting! Yet another inconsistency appears in the broker’s claims. On the homepage, users are promised lightning-fast order execution within just 3 milliseconds. However, after visiting the PRO Conditions page, the execution speed somehow slows down to 12 milliseconds. Here we see yet another example of unreliable information. It should also be noted that scammers are free to display absolutely any figures they want: after all, no client orders are actually executed anywhere, since the entire trading process is merely simulated.

Expeditioninv.com Withdrawal Integrity & Exit Process

As for withdrawals, there is really nothing surprising to add. We can only mention that the personal account area contains more payment methods than are listed on the official website. Beyond that, clients still receive no clear explanation of the withdrawal conditions.

To conclude, let us remind you once again that you are dealing with an obvious scam. Therefore, expecting Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD to pay out profits or even return deposited funds is unrealistic. As the author of the only negative Trustpilot review stated: stay away from them, they are thieves — they refused to process withdrawals and eventually blocked the account. Frankly, this is exactly the outcome one should expect.

Strengths & Weaknesses Analysis

  • A relatively well-designed and dynamic website.
  • A low entry threshold of just €100.
  • No official registration exists; the fake broker illegally uses the details of a real Singapore company while existing solely as a website.
  • Naturally, there is no license either, meaning the provision of brokerage and dealer services is illegal.
  • Almost all information published on the official website is unreliable.
  • Trading conditions are completely hidden.
  • There are almost no genuine expeditioninv.com reviews online, but the administration purchases promotional publications on informational websites to improve the project’s image.

Investment Risk Summary

We believe that in this Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD analysis, we have convincingly demonstrated that the project is a scam created by fraudsters where users can only lose money. There is simply too much evidence supporting this conclusion: from the illegal use of a real company’s data to the publication of false information, from completely hidden trading conditions to paid promotional articles on informational websites presenting positive opinions about the platform. Pseudo-brokers like this should be avoided entirely, and traders should never even consider sending them the smallest deposit.

Stay away from the scammers at Expedition Investment Management and do not believe their promises. This company is unreliable and dishonest despite the attractive offers made by their representatives. All the positive opinions about them online are fake. I did not find a good trading terminal here, nor responsive support, and there is certainly no smooth withdrawal process. Do not fall for the tricks of these scammers!

I deeply regret getting involved with Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD. I fell into the scammers’ trap and lost 13,000 dollars. I tried to withdraw part of the money, but they rejected my request. Then I attempted to withdraw everything at once, and they refused again. I am extremely disappointed with this whole situation, although nothing can be changed now. The worst part is wasting so much time and effectively gifting a large amount of money to scammers.
