In our Bitci review, we’ll explore a cryptocurrency exchange that bills itself as a highly convenient and versatile solution for trading digital assets. The company emphasizes accessibility, a wide selection of tools, and a user-friendly environment. Let’s Identify the Company’s Background
Cryptocurrency exchanges can operate in two formats: centralized and decentralized. In the first case, the platform acts as an intermediary between users, storing their funds and managing the trading infrastructure. In the second, transactions occur directly between participants without a single central authority. Judging by its functionality and description, Bitci is a centralized exchange, meaning it is subject to stricter transparency and regulatory requirements.
Specifically, such a platform must be registered in a specific jurisdiction as a legal entity, as it effectively manages clients’ funds. Having a license is also an important factor, although it’s worth noting that few countries currently offer comprehensive regulation of crypto exchanges. Nevertheless, even in these circumstances, reputable projects strive to obtain the appropriate status or at least comply with basic requirements.
An additional important evaluation criterion is the exchange’s presence in major aggregators and monitoring services, which track trading volumes, liquidity, number of assets, and other key metrics.
Bitci Jurisdiction and Regulation
The project’s jurisdictional situation appears rather ambiguous. There are no registered addresses on the website. The user agreement states that all disputes are subject to Swiss jurisdiction, suggesting that the company is registered there. However, a check of the Swiss business registry revealed that no legal entity named Bitci exists there. Therefore, without official registration, there can be no talk of any license.
Meanwhile, the exchange is listed on CoinMarketCap, but with the “Tr” mark, indicating a connection to Turkey. Indeed, a company licensed to operate in the digital asset sector is registered in Turkey, specifically in Bodrum. However, it is important to understand that Bitci TR and Bitci Global are likely different entities. While the Turkish branch is legitimate, Bitci Global is apparently not registered in any jurisdiction.
Bitci.com History
Regarding its length of operation, the company makes no attempt to hide its history. Most aggregators indicate that the platform began operations in 2018. This information is confirmed by web archive records. Although the domain itself was registered back in 2007, actual activity on it only began in 2018. Therefore, it can be concluded that the exchange has indeed been in the market for quite some time, which can be considered one of its advantages.
Due Diligence: Onboarding & Funding
The section dedicated to the registration process and getting started with the platform is, to put it mildly, perplexing. In the classic sense, any crypto exchange should offer a transparent and straightforward onboarding process: account creation, verification, and deposits. However, in the case of Bitci, everything is extremely odd.
Some of the website’s functionality is still available, for example, viewing Bitcoin charts. Nevertheless, any attempt to interact with the charts inevitably leads to a login form without any hint of creating an account.
Bitci Conditions and Manipulations
The commission situation appears clearer, but it’s still not without its share of controversies. Basic trading costs on the platform are 0.25% for market makers and 0.35% for market takers. This is above the market average. Large crypto exchanges typically charge standard fees starting at 0.1% or lower. Therefore, Bitci is already less competitive at its basic level.
The VIP level system appears attractive. As trading volume and Bitci balance grow, fees decrease, all the way down to 0.01% for makers. However, the requirements to reach these levels are quite high. For example, even the entry-level VIP 1 level requires a trading volume of 20,000 USDT and a balance of 10,000 Bitci, while higher levels require millions in trading volume. This means that real benefits are only available to a limited number of active traders, while most users will remain on the basic, less favorable terms. It’s also worth considering that fees already include 18% VAT, which further increases the actual burden on traders. This is explained by jurisdiction. However, it’s not entirely clear what to do in this case, for example, for non-residents who want to avoid double taxation.
As for deposits and withdrawals, the situation is standard. Deposits for all assets are free, and withdrawal fees vary depending on the specific cryptocurrency. While they are generally within market limits, the list of available assets appears rather limited. Despite the presence of popular coins like BTC, ETH, and XRP, the overall selection of instruments is significantly inferior to that of major exchanges.
Bitci.com Withdrawal Integrity & Exit Process
The aforementioned problem with registration and account access is a primary concern. If a user initially doesn’t understand how to create an account, the logical question arises: how stable and predictable is the fund management system? Any technical limitations or platform instability can directly impact the ability to withdraw funds in a timely manner.
Furthermore, the website lacks a detailed description of withdrawal request processing procedures. The timeframes, possible limits, verification requirements, and transaction blocking conditions are not specified. For a crypto exchange, these are critical parameters.

Investment Risk Summary
Overall, Bitci can’t be categorized as a particularly problematic project, but it’s also not entirely reliable. The exchange has been operating for several years and offers basic cryptocurrency trading functionality. However, the most logical option seems to be working through its Turkish branch, which at least shows signs of genuine registration and regulation.
Thus, while it’s theoretically possible to work with this platform, the risk level remains moderate, and likely even elevated. Potential clients should exercise caution, avoid placing large amounts without further verification, and, if possible, choose more transparent platforms.

I strongly advise against using this platform! My experience with them ended with a complete block and account freeze right when I tried to withdraw a significant portion of my funds. Without any prior notification or email, my personal account simply stopped opening, and when I tried to log in, the system returned a system error.
I tried contacting customer support dozens of times, through the form on the website, email, and official chats. Not a single response, not even an automated template confirming that my request had been accepted. It seems that support exists only to attract new clients, not to solve problems.
I lost 1,700 DOGE. It’s a technical scam and completely ignored by support. Never trust this exchange unless you want to simply give them your crypto. My story ended with a loss during a regular withdrawal attempt. The most despicable part of their scheme is their technical sham. When I withdrew coins, the transaction simply stuck with the “Checked” status, but the system didn’t even generate a transaction ID (hash). In other words, the money never left the blockchain; it simply remained within their platform.
Their transaction history is magically cleared every 90 days. If you haven’t withdrawn your money within three months, the withdrawal information is simply erased from the website, as if it never existed. No history, no complaints.
I’ve been writing to support for months. Nothing. I even found their CEO and founder on LinkedIn and described the situation there. The result is the same: complete disregard. The most annoying thing is that I honestly went through their KYC process, providing my passport information and documents. Everything looked extremely official and serious, which lulled me into a false sense of security.
This is a typical hoax exchange. They lure you in with a legitimate interface and identity verification, but as soon as it comes time to withdraw large sums, they go silent. My 1,700 DOGE simply ended up in their pockets. Avoid this platform like the plague if you value your nerves and assets!
